I spent Christmas this year with my boyfriend in his native lands of Scotland. Even though it was winter--it's still definitely greener than any parts of Colorado... a bit dreich though as it rained... a LOT. But it was a great Christmas with lots of new experiences--steak pie, haggis fritters, christmas cake, christmas pudding, mulled wine & cider, castles, hairy cows, pheasants, and lots of sheep. The rural countryside near Loch Ness is absolutely beautiful--didn't see Nessie unfortunately though... maybe next time.
