Jessica & Edward • Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement • Estes Park, Colorado Elopement Photographer
A few weeks before they planned to elope, Jessica told me about her dream to travel up from Texas with a few of her closest family members and get married in the Colorado Rockies. Then she said the words that every photographer dreams of hearing, "Go ahead and pick out a spot for our elopement... wherever you say we should do it... that's good with us." I spent a whole day scouring Rocky Mountain National park for the most epic location for an adventurous mountain elopement and found a beautiful secluded spot off of Trail Ridge Road. The day of her elopement, I arrived at their cabin in Estes Park at 6:00am and a perfectly gorgeous sunrise started their day off beautifully. We drove up trail ridge road in the early morning light, and they said their vows at over 12,000 feet. It was arguably the most beautiful wedding I've ever been blessed to be a part of.

When they are together, Beth and Colin can't help but smile—they have the most loving and genuine smiles I've ever seen. Their cute little Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield wedding was a beautiful summer day with sun streaming through the clouds and lighting up the flower-covered landscape. Their first look was in a field of flowers. It couldn't have been more perfect.
Erika & Ryan's romantic elopement on Grand Lake was one of the most truly beautiful and intimate wedding days that I've ever been able to be a part of. When these two met, they fell hard and fast for each other and Ryan proposed to her after a short two months... on the winter solstice last December. It was only fitting that they held their wedding day on the summer solstice, 6 months later with only their closest friends and family. The North Shore Resort in Grand Lake was a perfect venue for their intimate celebration. They got married on the beach with their friends and family members standing in a circle around them. After the ceremony, we walked around the shore and got photos reminiscent of some far away remote island. Grand Lake is a perfect paradise, and the closest you can get to a beach wedding in Colorado. I remember having a deep feeling of peace and calm and love as I photographed their wedding day... they danced around the fire and I fell asleep in my tent that night on the shore of Grand Lake. It was one of those weddings that truly solidifies why I love my job more than anything in the world.
This Nebraska couple always dreamed of getting married in the rocky mountains, and their adventurous wedding venue of YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park did not disappoint. With its sweeping mountain views and gorgeous stunning June weather... it could not be a more perfect place. Their ceremony site of the Overlook Chapel backs right up to the boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park, making a perfect wedding venue for mountain-lovers. I loved every moment of their gorgeous wedding day!
